DeVos Still Ahead
Rasmussen has DeVos up 6%. Easy to do when you're not under any real scrutiny and everybody is on vacation. Have to agree with Nate and Bill on this - this will probably be his peak unless poor Jennifer is caught doing a DUI and ranting anti-Semetic remarks.

The funny thing about the ad back and forth that we're seeing so far here, is that Devos has a commercial deriding Granholm for negative attack ads. Its your standard fare.... an unflattering pic of Granholm, a few snippets from the Detroit News and Freep deriding Granholms campaign, then fade into some cheery music and Devos denouncing mud slinging. A funny as since its the essence of the negative attack ads Devos is complaining about in the last 10 secs of the very same commercial.
Further more, I guess Im wondering when Granholm has been running attack ads. From what Ive seen... she hasnt run many ads at all.
She is keeping her powder dry. Can't match him dollar for dollar, but wait until after labor day. Why waste money on ads when nobody is around to watch them.
I heard an ad today saying Granholm had set a record for Michigan gubernatorial election spending for the last two elections. I must assume that they added the last election's spending to the spending to date and it exceeds DeVos' spending over the same period. Why do I get the feeling that the purpose of the ad is to say that Granholm is the big spender and that may be stretching the truth a tad, even though it is technically correct?
