Chaffee v. Laffee

Here's another race where an incumbant is under threat, similar to Lieberman and Schwartz. The main reason I want to see Laffey win is this - this is the U.S. Senate, not the House of Lords, and we should not have hiereditary Senate seats. Thus, based on this - Chris Dodd should be de-elected and probably several congressmen too.

Does that apply to Presidents, too? Sons of Presidents? Multiple sons of Presidents? Modern conservatism is about aristocracies, not equality. Are you forsaking your core beliefs?

Is Murkowski a really common name in Alaska? Probably a native name. Just wondering.

I would trade all bushes out of politics if the Kennedys would do the same. A lot of this you can thank McCain's "incumbent protection racket" which means that the only people who can get office are idiot millionaires (Michael Huffington, Clayton Williams, John Corzine, Mark Dayton) or family names (Dodd, Bush, Kennedy, Kean, Chaffee, etc).

Speaking of aristocracy...

a fun little factoid,

There has been a Bush or a Dole on every GOP presidential ticket since 1976.

And with Jeb Bush leaving office in FLA with hig marks... could we be headed to yet a third Decade of Bush dominated GOP politics?

Republicans complaining about Democratic "Royalty" holds about as much water as their complaints about Hollywood liberals...

"Pay no attention to Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Sonny Bono, Clint Eastwood, Chuck Heston, Fred Grandy, Ronald Reagan, etc behind the curtain"
