too bad the law of supply and demand no longer applies to health care. There is little elasticity of demand for health care to being with. Couple that with rampant drug company mergers. Factor in sky rocketing health insurance premiums that take a bite out of small business, insurance company bureaucracy that puts smaller nations governments to shame and you have our American system.

Actually, there used to be quite a lot of elasticity in health care before health insurance became common, thanks to that damn UAW. I determined years ago that, when I become God, health insurance will be made illegal. This will simultaneously correct the health care, medicare, and the social security problems. Prices will fall and the living dead will be laid to rest.
